He appeared regularly doing “phone-ins” on a variety of different issues.
SKY 1, THE BEECHY SHOW
Beechy did 95 consecutive live shows. The shows included celebrity interviews, interviews with different members of the public who “had a story to tell” regarding some life, health, or emotional problem. There were also daily “phone-ins” for people to get Beechy’s brand of motivational advice.
Beechy’s wife Jo also worked with him from time to time on the shows.
BBC TV NORTHERN IRELAND, BEECHY MEETS
These were one hour shows where Beechy would go and and meet famous people. These included:-

Kirsty McCall – Beechy did the last ever interview with her before she was killed in a tragic accident. Sections of this interview were subsequently used in several documentaries.

BBC TV NORTHERN IRELAND, BEECHY AFTER DARK
This was a very colourful show filled with controversial and powerful characters. Beechy’s guests included authors, musicians and writers . It involved debate mixed with tremendous Irish humour.
BBC RADIO NORTHERN IRELAND, CALL BEECHY
This was a programme dedicated to live radio phone-ins and was seen as truly groundbreaking. After 30 years of conflict and problems not being “aired” the people of Northern Ireland were prepared to speak to Beechy about all types of issues. Most amazingly they were also prepared to speak about their “feelings”.
This programme received the highest regional ratings.
ITV – THE INTERVENTION
This was a 10 part series giving families the opportunity to facilitate an intervention with a member of their family who had a drink problem, drug problem, eating disorder etc. If the person was willing Beechy arranged for them to receive free treatment for their problem.
CHANNEL 4, CELEBRITY REHAB
This was a 2 part documentary featuring well-known people who had overcome addiction problems. This included Jim Davidson, Clarissa Dickson-Wright, Mark Almond, John Reid, Chris Difford.
